Basingstoke MP Maria Miller recently visited Aldworth School as part of her programme of regular visits to local schools.
Maria had a meeting with the interim Headteacher Paul Jenkins to discuss the latest developments at the school, particularly the focus on improvement and raising academic standards.
Maria also met with a group of students, to discuss a wide range of issues including online bullying, environment, recycling and litter.
Maria Commented “I was very pleased to visit Aldworth school again, and to see the measures put in place by the interim Headteacher Paul Jenkins to improve standards. The priority for me is to ensure that all children in Basingstoke get the high standard of education they deserve.”
“I also enjoyed meeting the students who had some excellent questions and raised concerns about a wide range of issues including online bullying and shared ideas about recycling and litter.”
