Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, joined her constituent Vicky Newbold to congratulate her at the HSBC Apprentices Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons.
HSBC held the Parliamentary reception to celebrate the graduation of their most recent London apprentices and to recognise the success of all apprentices, trainees, interns and summer work experience students, and the contribution they have made to the bank.
Maria said: “It was great pleasure to have the opportunity to meet with and congratulate Vicky on her graduation. HSBC has a first-class apprenticeship programme and I am delighted Vicky has have done so well.”
Apprenticeships make sense for young people across Basingstoke and HSBC’s programme is an example of how firms can both give young people much needed experience and gain huge commercial benefit.”
