Maria Miller MP called in at Basingstoke College of Technology recently to meet a group of Property Maintenance apprentices. All of them work four days a week, in a variety of roles, and study one day every week at BCOT.
BCOT is one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the region, offering more than 60 different apprenticeship programmes, in many areas including business, construction, engineering and hospitality. The College works with both large and small employers across all industry sectors.
Maria said: “I was very glad to meet the apprentices studying for qualifications in property maintenance, and to hear how they planned to use the qualification to develop their careers. It was an inspiring way to mark National Apprenticeship Week.”
“It was also good to catch up with BCOT Principal Anthony Bravo as there is always something new happening at the College.”
