Maria Miller MP was delighted to hold a virtual climate change lobby with Basingstoke residents on Tuesday 30 June at midday as part of Climate Coalition’s #TheTimeIsNow campaign.
Climate Coalition with sister organisations Stop Climate Chaos Cymru and Stop Climate Chaos Scotland is UK’s largest group of people supported by over 140 organisations including the National Trust, Women's Institute, Oxfam, and RSPB, dedicated to action against climate change.
Maria said, “The impact of climate change has only become more concerning as a result of this pandemic. With our economy under pressure it is crucial that climate change is at the heart of all recovery plans. It is important to keep these issues uppermost in our minds through this C19 pandemic. I was delighted to meet with Basingstoke constituents to discuss their concerns and ideas about how we can all work together to help tackle climate change, protect our local environment and ensure a greener future for Basingstoke.”
