Maria Miller MP visited Brighton Hill Community School to meet students who take part in the school’s STEM work working with a number of local employers.
Maria highlighted support the Arkwright Scholarship can give to students wishing to pursue a career in engineering and Technical Design. Arkwright is charity group providing a prestigious scholarship for students.
Maria said: “It is great to see young people so excited about Maths, Science and Technology. Basingstoke has many great employers who are looking for individuals with flair and talent in these areas.
“Schools that get involved with the Arkwright Scholarship, can offer their students important extra support to continue their studies right the way through to university.”
