LOCAL MP WELCOMES NEW RESIDENTIAL HOME FOR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
Basingstoke MP Maria Miller was pleased to visit Laurus House in Basingstoke, which is to open as a new residential home to support children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
Maria was welcomed to Laurus House by Natalie Boothroyd, from Calcot Services for Children, who manages the specialist learning disability home, and was shown around the house which includes a fully equipped multi-sensory room.
Maria said: “I welcome this new specialist residential home for children with learning disabilities here in Basingstoke. I was very pleased to visit Laurus House and hear about the care and support that children who live here will receive, and the aim of providing them with a stable and long term home.”
