Local MP, Maria Miller has welcomed Tesco Centenary Fund which gives local organisations opportunity to benefit from Tesco’s Bags of Help; local community grant scheme which funds thousands of community projects across Britain. So far through the scheme Tesco’s have, since 2016, donated £116,730 to 37 projects in Basingstoke.
Maria said “I welcome Tesco’s Centenary Fund and urge all eligible organisations in Basingstoke to apply for funding which could make a real difference.”
This year, a new initiative, Bags of Help Centenary Grants, will also provide larger grants of £25,000, £15,000 and £10,000 for groups promoting health in local communities during July / August, and for all community groups in November / December. Local groups can apply at - tesco.com/bagsofhelp
