Local MP Maria Miller recently visited the Rooksdown Campus of Castle Hill Primary School. She had a meeting with the Executive Headmaster, Mr John Martin, to hear about latest developments at the school. Maria heard that in October 2019, Castle Hill Primary School had become the first county school in the world accredited as a “High Performance Learning World Class School”.
Maria was also given a tour of the new extension building at the school, which was completed last summer. She called in at a number of classes to meet children and staff members.
Maria said: “I was very pleased to visit the Rooksdown Campus of Castle Hill Primary School again, and to catch up with John Martin, and hear about the school’s fantastic achievement.”
“It was great to see the wonderful new extension at the school, which provides a further 210 places, to meet the needs of a growing population. The £3.5 million extension has been delivered as part of the record investment that is being made in Basingstoke schools.”
