Following the announcement by North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group on 1 August of new arrangements to provide GP services at Beggarwood surgery from September, Basingstoke MP Maria Miller has commented:
“I very much welcome the announcement that North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) are taking over the Beggarwood GP practice and will continue to run it as a full GP surgery for residents. NHUC has a very strong track record and a good reputation in North Hampshire delivering NHS services to patients over the past two decades.”
"It has been a difficult time for local residents in Beggarwood and the surrounding area but this is a very positive outcome and provides the important assurance that the Practice will continue to provide important access to local GP services.”
“I have contacted NHUC welcoming the news and asking for the opportunity of an early meeting to discuss the detail of the plan for the Practice.”
