Basingstoke MP Maria Miller is highlighting that a record amount of EU funding is available for schools and youth organisations under the Erasmus+ scheme. Erasmus+ funding is open to schools, further and higher education, adult education and youth organisations. Funding covers a range of activities, from joint projects between schools to training for youth workers.
The deadline for applications for two schemes are approaching fast. One closes on 21 March, for education and training partnerships, including school exchanges; and another on 26 April for youth sector activities.
Maria said: “This is a great opportunity for schools and youth organisations to get a share of this EU funding. As the UK is taking part in Erasmus+ in 2018, and up to 2010 in principle, I would urge them to consider putting in an application.”
“We have a good track record of securing Erasmus+ funding in Basingstoke, including Costello School’s Erasmus+ sponsored project where they worked for two years with schools and other organisations in Sweden, Latvia and the Czech Republic. It would be great to see other Basingstoke schools getting similar experiences.”
