MP highlights improvement works in Buckskin

Local MP Maria Miller has welcomed the sewer rehabilitation work that Thames Water is going to be carrying out in the Buckskin area over the coming weeks. This work will start on 23 February, and will involve sewer relining, repairing and defects and dealing with root ingress, together with a few localised patch sealing repairs.

Maria Miller welcome plans for protection of Saunders Field

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller has warmly welcomed news that plans for the redevelopment of the Leisure Park propose the designation of Saunders Field as a wildlife and ecology area. The site is an important green space which is very close to the source of the River Loddon. 

ASPIRE Employment

Maria Miller attended the ASPIRE Employment Event at Queen Mary College. ASPIRE is a service for young people aged 19-30 who have learning disabilities and would like to move into paid employment. 

Basingstoke Canal - an important part of our town's heritage

Local MP Maria Miller was delighted to open the new Basingstoke Canal Society exhibition at Milestones Museum recently. The exhibition details the history of the Basingstoke Canal, including restoration and maintenance work by the Basingstoke Canal Society.
