This Thank a Teacher Day, Wednesday 19 June, local MP Maria Miller has paid tribute to teachers across Basingstoke, whose hard work means that more children are gaining the education they need to get on in life.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller joined the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Diane Taylor, and her Consort, Dr Andy Taylor, in the Mayor’s Parlour, to present certificates to the local healthcare teams Maria has nominated for the national NHS Parliamentary Awards 2019.

Local MP visits Limington House School

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller recently visited Limington House School in South Ham. Limington House is a special school for children aged 2 to 19, with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Joint Committee on the Draft Domestic Abuse Bill

The Joint Committee on the Draft Domestic Abuse Bill which is chaired by the local MP, Maria Miller has today published its report on the Bill and called for it to be amended to give greater protection to victims of domestic abuse.
