Maria Miller MP met Brighton Hill School Head Mr Chris Edwards following news that Aldworth School will join the same Academy chain as Brighton Hill School which achieved a ‘good’ Ofsted with ‘Outstanding’ elements in 2023.
Maria said “Brighton Hill has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and it was positive to hear from Mr Edwards about how the school continues to be a great place to learn.
“The school's ambition for its pupils continues to grow, most recently through its involvement in the Hawks Academy Initiative, which gives students the opportunity to receive top-level cricket coaching from the Hampshire Cricket Foundation.
“Brighton Hill is proud to be rated as 'good’ by Ofsted, with three ‘Outstanding’ elements. I want every school in Basingstoke to be 'Good' or 'Outstanding' to make sure every child has the opportunity of an excellent education.”
