Local MP, Maria Miller, is calling for nominations for the 2022 NHS Parliamentary Awards after attending the Awards launch in Westminster . The awards began in 2018, and were created to celebrate NHS staff, carers and volunteers for their hard work, innovative ideas and unwavering efforts to put patients first.
Maria said; “The NHS is the nation’s most loved institution and no where more so than in Basingstoke. It’s our local NHS staff, who make it what it is today. Throughout the last 2 years especially, they have faced unimaginable challenges as a result of the pandemic. It is absolutely right that we commend and celebrate the incredible work everyone has put into the NHS, and demonstrate our recognition of the great lengths and sacrifices they have made to provide the all of in Basingstoke with the care we needed.
“Anyone in Basingstoke can nominate a member of NHS staff to be considered as part of these awards. Nominations are now open and close on 6 April. ”
