The Local Tracing Service for Hampshire has now gone live in Basingstoke to support NHS Test and Trace and help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Maria said, “It is good to see Basingstoke rolling out its own Local Tracing Service to make sure people take the right action and self isolate if they have had contact with someone who has Coronavirus. Rates of Covid19 infection remain high in Basingstoke so we all need to do everything we can to stop the virus being passed on. Immediately book a test if you experience symptoms, self isolate if you have come into contact with someone who is infected and if you have the virus provide the Local Tracing Service with accurate details of the people you have been in contact with. By doing this we can stop the spread of this virus.“
Led by Hampshire County Council, the Local Tracing Service is supporting NHS Test and Trace by contacting people who have tested positive for coronavirus in our area, and gathering details of their movements and close contacts. Residents will receive a text or call from 01962 826982, or contacted via email. Residents should not call the number direct.
