Local MP Maria Miller attended a series of community and church events to mark the sad death of Her Majesty the Queen. One visit was to Castle Hill Rooksdown Campus to meet pupils and to reflect on recent events.
Maria said, "What has struck me most from all of the conversations I have had is the deep respect for her late Majesty, and the thanks people want to express for her lifelong commitment to service. Those same sentiments were expressed in a very mature way by the pupils of Castle Hill today. It was particularly moving to hear that Queen Elizabeth an important role model for so many women, young and old alike. She will be missed."
