Today the Government is launching the next phase of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, which provides national funding towards the goal of reducing emissions from public sector buildings by 75% by 2037.
Maria said: “It is great to see enhanced Government support towards meeting our climate change goals and reducing emissions. I would urge all eligible public organisations in Basingstoke, such as schools, the NHS and the Local Authority, to take up this great opportunity.
“The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme supports vital upgrades to our public sector buildings, saving money on energy bills, and increasing demand for low carbon heating measures, giving the public sector confidence to recruit, train and support green jobs.”
Phase 3 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme will provide up to £1.425 billion of grant funding over the financial years 2022/2023 to 2024/2025. Further information about the scheme can be found on the Gov.uk website:
