The Basingstoke Country Hotel recently accommodated asylum seekers as they waited to be processed and allocated permanent accommodation.

‘’I was pleased to hear that all families who were being temporarily housed in the Country Hotel have now been relocated and settled into long-term accommodation. This is a brilliant achievement and I would like to pay particular credit to the Basingstoke Voluntary Association and the Housing Department at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council who have worked together on this throughout.
Concluding operations so efficiently is even more remarkable considering Country Hotel was the first bridging location to do so in the Country. I understand that the Country Hotel will now be able to return to normal commercial activities.’’
