Local MP, Maria Miller, visited Chiltern Primary School, where she met with Mr Nathan Gazzard, the new Headteacher, and spoke with a group of pupils.
Maria said, “One of the things I am most grateful for, as we emerge from the pandemic, is the opportunity to once again visit local schools and to listen to Basingstoke children talk about the issues that matter to them most. I was glad to meet with Chiltern Primary pupils and to speak about a wide range of subjects, from their educational experiences, and changes in Basingstoke they’d like to see, to the environment and sports facilities.
“It was also really good to meet with the new Head, Mr Gazzard, and to hear about his plans for the school. I look forward to working with him and I hope to be able to visit Chiltern Primary again soon.”
