Basingstoke MP, Maria Miller, visited King’s Furlong Infant School, to speak with Headteacher Ms Anne Perriam, and to see the new nursery building.
Maria said, “I am delighted to visit King’s Furlong Infants to see the new nursery, which opened last September. This fantastic new facility expands the schools’ provision for 2-4 year olds. I was particularly interested to hear about the language and emotional health support being provided, through a number of practical programmes and sensory based activities, such as ‘Lego therapy’ and ‘Rebound’.
“It was good to meet with Ms Perriam, to discuss the issues schools are experiencing as we emerge from the pandemic, and also to tour the school, meeting pupils and seeing the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff in action.”
