Basingstoke MP, Maria Miller, welcomed the commencement of Hampshire County Council’s ‘Leader’s Community Grants Scheme’.
Maria said: “It is important that local groups and organisations, who are well placed to understand the needs of their own community, get the support they need to fund projects in their area. Helping such groups with funding, enables them to gain financial independence and focus on the issues that most matter to their communities. I therefore welcome the opening up of this grant scheme, and I would encourage Basingstoke based organisations to apply where possible.”
Applications are now open for the financial year 2022/23. The scheme will consider applications between £1,000 and £25,000 to use for activity costs and/or capital costs. Applications are welcomed at any time and will be dealt with on a ‘first come, first served’ basis
