Maria Miller, MP for Basingstoke, has submitted her response to the latest consultation on the draft Local Plan.
Maria said: “With a higher level of housing proposed in the updated Plan, it is all the more important that funding is identified to ensure that all the necessary infrastructure is provided before new housing is occupied, and that it is phased in line with development of the allocated sites.”
Maria added: “We need to get the Local Plan in place as soon as practicable, to protect our communities against speculative planning applications by developers. I look forward to the Planning Inspector’s Examination of the Plan in the autumn.”
