Maria Miller MP visited Marnel Junior School today to discuss the new expansion with Head Teacher Danielle Owens and Deputy Head Sue Peopall, touring the new building and dropping in on a number of classes along the way.
Maria said: “It is obvious that children studying at Marnel Junior School are engaged with their work and passionate about learning. It was brilliant to see energetic members of staff across the school with a hands on approach to teaching, ensuring that every child has a great chance at success.”
Maria later had the opportunity to have a Q and A session with six students who are campaigning to become school Ambassadors, who took the chance to ask Maria about her role as a Member of Parliament and let her know how they thought Basingstoke could be improved to make it an even better and more exciting place for children.
