PARLIAMENTARY PETITION : "Basingstoke Residents Against Motorway Service Areas"

Maria Miller MP, local Councillors and residents are launching Parliamentary Petition on Thursday 15 March to demonstrate Basingstoke residents’ concerns about two separate proposals for new motorway service areas on the M3 around Basingstoke.
The proposed services at Black Dam are currently being considered by the local authority, while the proposal for Hatch Warren has not yet been submitted for planning approval, with details expected to go out for a second round of public consultation in the next few months. Basingstoke residents have highlighted to Maria the significant environmental and road traffic concerns that both developments raise.

You can download a copy of the petition below, please note according to the guidance, only the first page needs to include all the text, and subsequent sheets of signatures only need to include the “prayer” or request – ie “The petitioners therefore request…”.

Please send signed petitions to;- Rt Hon Maria Miller MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA
