Local MP Maria Miller attended the wreath laying for Emmeline Pankhurst in Victoria Tower Gardens today.
Maria said: “It is important that we remember Emmeline and all of the great work that she did for women, most notably her efforts to secure the vote for the female electorate in Britain.
Getting more women involved in Parliament and public life is still relevant today, and it is great to that we are all here celebrating Emmeline’s hard work and determination.”
