Local MP, Maria Miller has welcomed the NatWest Skills and Opportunities Fund, which is currently open to local charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges based in Basingstoke constituency.
The Fund was launched in 2015 as part of NatWest’s on-going commitment to making a difference in the communities, and NatWest is set to give away £1m in the first of two rounds of funding in 2017.
Maria said “Skills and Opportunities Fund is a great indicative to help local organisation to get extra funding for the much needed work that is being done to support our local communities. I urge all local charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges based in Basingstoke to apply for the Skills and Opportunities Fund “
Applications will remain open until midday on Friday 24 February.
The Fund has already shared £5m in 4 rounds of funding, providing grants of up to £35k to not-for-profit organisations across the UK and Ireland that help people achieve qualifications, find work or start a business. The Fund is expected to reach over 75,000 people by the end of 2017, helping to build better lives and stronger communities.
