Basingstoke MP Maria Miller called in at the Popley Spotlight Centre recently, for an update from founder Michaela Riley. The Spotlight Centre, based in the old Chineham Park School provides affordable activities for all age groups within the community, and particularly for children and young people, many of whom are vulnerable and have special needs.
Maria, who has been involved with the Spotlight Centre from the start, said: “The success of the Spotlight Centre shows very clearly that it is an enormously valuable community facility. Hundreds of children from across the Basingstoke area enjoy fun activities here, whether in the performing arts, or the after school and holiday clubs.”
“Michaela and her team are so passionate about the work of the Spotlight Centre, and it is always wonderful to hear about their plans and developments.”
