Maria Miller, Member of Parliament for Basingstoke raised with the Minister for Further Education concerns that local residents have about cuts in courses for adults with severe learning disabilities following a meeting with residents at Stoke Lodge last week.
David Cameron, leader of the Conservative Party, and Basingstoke MP Maria Miller, today met with Basingstoke pensioners to discuss the impact of council tax rises.
Maria has today called on the Regional Planning committee of South East England Regional Assembly (SEERA) to listen to residents concerns and take the small villages outside of Basingstoke out of the Western Corridor high density development area.
Local MP Maria Miller met with “Different Worlds”, which is a Support Group for parents and children with Aspergers Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum in Basingstoke and surrounding areas.
The support group offers a place to meet and exchange experiences, skills and understanding.
Maria Miller, Member of Parliament for Basingstoke spoke out today in support of a change in the law relating to mobile phone masts. The new Bill was supported by MPs across Hampshire but was deliberately blocked by the Government who said that the changes proposed were not needed.
